0686 High prevalence of sleep apnea in mental disorders – a need for use of sleep evaluation tools in psychiatric health care

Abstract Introduction Sleep apnea is a prevalent disorder but it frequently overlooked in diagnosing mental disorders. The aim of the present study was to screen for sleep group patients referred disorders or non-restorative and assess accuracy with which such testing can be replaced commonly used screening questionnaires apnea. Methods 104 were investigated – 58 (26 affective disorders, 26 schizophrenia spectrum 3 anxiety neurocognitive disorders; mean age 37.5±9.5 years, 24% females, BMI 32.8±6.5 kg/m2) 46 (mean 41.2±14.6, 39% 26.3±4.8 kg/m2). screened home test (HSAT) based on peripheral arterial tonometry (PAT) asked fill Apnea Scale from Disorders Questionnaire (SDQ-SA), STOP-BANG Berlin (BQ), Epworth Sleepiness (ESS). Results Apnea-Hypopnea Index > 5/h found 57 (55%) patients: 36 (62%) 21 (45%) sleep. An increased risk 45 (43.3%) using SDQ-SA, 64 (61.5%) BQ, 80 (76.9%) cut-off points 30 (28.8%) 5 points. Positive predictive values were: 65.9% 71.0% 68.8% point 75.9% Negative 49.1%, 63.0%, 83.3% 51.4% respectively. Diagnostic highest 72.3% lowest SDQ-SA 56.6%. Excessive Daytime 44 (42.3%) patients. Three (2.9%) refused did not complete HSAT.
